  • Compassionate Psychotherapy for
    Adults, Children, and Families.

Is telehealth therapy with me right for you?

Telehealth allows you to see a therapist online from the privacy of your home.  I offer live sessions using videoconferencing (Zoom).  This secure format is compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), allowing you a safe and secure way of protecting your health information and communication.  Recent studies have found telehealth psychotherapy to be as effective as in-person therapy.  My clients have found this to be a time-efficient, private, and convenient way to meet with me.

I have provided psychotherapy to children, adults, and families for over 30 years.  With a background in developmental psychology, along with clinical psychology, I take a developmental and family systems perspective in my work.  Psychotherapy may also involve mindfulness-based acceptance and commitment therapy strategies, cognitive-behavior therapy, and emotional regulation skills.  We will work collaboratively on helping you to develop skills and strategies to manage your struggles.  I am licensed as a psychologist to work with adults, children, and families in the following states:  RI, NC, NV, CO, UT, AZ, DE, GA, IL, MO, NE, NH, OK, PA, TX, VA, AL, KY, and DC.

    Problems served:

    • Feeling sad or depressed
    • Feeling anxious or fearful
    • Having problems controlling anger or frustration
    • Relationship problems
    • Family conflict
    • Dealing with a major life change such as move, divorce, or death
    • Problems related to ADHD or Learning Disability

    Treatment Approach:

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness and acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), and family systems therapy.

My overall approach is solution-focused. Sometimes clients tell me that prior therapists “just listened” and never actively guided them toward any kind of change. In contrast, I view therapy as a productive, goal-oriented conversation—providing feedback, asking reflective questions, and making practical suggestions to use on a daily basis. I want you to leave each session feeling as if you’ve learned something new. My focus is helping you develop permanent strategies to use in your life and your relationships.

    Clients served:

    Individuals (Adults, adolescents, children)
